ABOUT EDU-PLETT

The Organisation has been in existence since 2014. The offices are located in the small Township of Kwanokthula in Plettenberg Bay. The core objective of Edu-Plett is youth development through bridging the gap between secondary education and higher learning.

Vocational Employment

Creating short-term employment that will not only keep one active for the sake of the stipend, however, ensure that a skills transfer is taking place.

NSC certificate

Assist individuals who have not received their NSC certificate and are willing to put in the work

Counselling Programmes

Run programmes that seek to address issues faced by young adults; drugs and sexual abuse.

Employability

Act as a stepping stone towards an employable youth or young adults.

Theoretical Training

As good as practical skill transfer is, it is not enough to act as an accredited accreditation. Therefore there also has to be theoretical training in order to equip the individuals with Certificates.

Government Experience

Skillful work opportunities within Research and Data collection. Assist local government with water and sanitation data collection. Also handle waste management and recycling.

Tourism Sector

Plett and Knysna are highly dependent on tourism. Therefore some skills transferred have to be within the tourism sector. This will encourage individuals to understand the seasonal market and adapt the skills learnt to make a living.
